What to know at a glance
Fixed interest; confirm repayment term. The published borrowing range starts at R 1 000. Approval and your final terms depend on the lender’s assessment.
Fees and the full cost
FNB publishes representative costs and product-specific insurance conditions. Example figures and promotional waivers are not universal prices.
- Initiation fee
- R1,207.50 where applicable in the R30,000 / 24-month example. Confirm your fee, VAT treatment and any Credit Switch or top-up waiver in the quote.
- Monthly service fee
- R69 per month in the representative example. VAT treatment is not explicit in that example.
- Credit life / protection
- The official FAQ requires cover for terms longer than seven months and permits suitable own cover. The Customer Protection Plan includes death, disability and qualifying loss-of-income protection, subject to conditions. R100 per month is the R30,000 / 24-month example premium, not a general tariff; the calculation basis needs confirmation.
Compare your total repayment as well as the monthly instalment. Ask for a written quote showing the exact rate, initiation fee, service fees and insurance applicable to you.
The official page conflicts: long-term pricing says 1–66 months, while a feature says up to 72. Term bounds remain unconfirmed and this product is excluded from specific-term results. Its separate short-term monthly rate is not applied to the R450,000 limit.
