What to know at a glance

Personal loans up to R300,000. The published borrowing range starts at R 2 000. Approval and your final terms depend on the lender’s assessment.

Fees and the full cost

The public example includes initiation and service fees. Credit protection is required; the current linked policy publishes a monthly premium based on the original loan amount.

Initiation fee
R1,207 in the R10,000 / 24-month representative example. The universal formula and VAT treatment are not confirmed there. The loan terms allow payment with the first instalment if selected at application; otherwise it is financed.
Monthly service fee
R69 per month in the representative example. Confirm the amount, VAT treatment and frequency in your pre-agreement quotation; the terms allow changes with notice.
Credit life / protection
Required while a loan balance is owing. The currently linked October 2025 policy charges R4.50 per R1,000 of the original loan amount each month. Guardrisk Life underwrites death, permanent disability, temporary total disability and loss-of-income cover, subject to exclusions. You may replace RCS cover with a policy providing the same benefits, ceded to RCS with the required written directions.

Compare your total repayment as well as the monthly instalment. Ask for a written quote showing the exact rate, initiation fee, service fees and insurance applicable to you.

A detail worth checking

The product page advertises interest from 15% without a period beside that headline and uses 28.25% annually in its example and maximum-rate wording. We do not treat these as a verified current rate range or an all-in APR. Example fees are not a universal tariff. The CPI policy excludes certain events and includes waiting periods; read the full policy and your schedule.
